Kazimierz Dolny is one of the most interesting and intriguing places on the map of Poland, a city in the heart of our country, an important center of artistic and cultural life, with rich folklore traditions, a place so eagerly visited by tourists.
In 2019, a unique event took place in Kazimierz Dolny, which is the bringing from the United States and donating to the city of Kazimierz for use a historic concert grand piano produced by the famous Steinway company from 1847, from the Romantic era; an instrument donated by Princess Irina zu Sayn Wittgenstein and Mr. Seweryn Aszkenazy. The piano comes from the era of Romanticism, from the time of Chopin and Mickiewicz salons, and it is this unique instrument that will be used by the music of the festival “Ballady i romanse”.
