Martín García García wins Sir Jeffrey Tate’s Award

The Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, endowed with 10,000 euros, initiated and sponsored by Annegret and Claus-G

Spanish pianist Martín García García receives the Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize 2022.

The award ceremony took place as part of a festive concert conducted by Sylvain Cambreling, Music Director of the Symphony Orchestra, on Thursday, 14 April 2022, at 7.30 pm in the Laeiszhalle.

The Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, endowed with 10,000 euros, initiated and sponsored by Annegret and Claus-G. Since 2020, Budelmann has been awarded every two years to exceptionally talented young musicians.

The jury of the 2022 Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize includes Annegret and Claus-G. Budelmann, Sylvain Cambreling, Gioacchino Lanza Tomasi, Christoph Lieben-Seutter, Ann Murray DBE.

    Excellent News! Have known Martin since he won 1st Prize in the IKIF (International Keyboard Institute & Festival) in New York City. He is destined for a glorious concert pianist career.
